How do I review proposals from lawyers?
LawDirector will send you an email notification when a lawyer submits a proposal to represent you. You can review all of the proposals for your case by logging in to LawDirector. To protect your privacy, LawDirector does not give your email address or contact information to any lawyers until you choose one to represent you.
How do I select a lawyer?
You will receive proposals from lawyers that are interested in representing you. From your LawDirector account you can click "Accept Proposal" and your contact information will be sent to the lawyer, who will email or call you to discuss your case. Selecting a lawyer is a personal decision. Some factors to consider are:
  • the lawyer's past experience with the subject matter and complexity of cases similar to yours
  • the lawyer's ability to communicate with you and answer questions about your case; and
  • your comfort level with the lawyer's understanding of your specific interests in the case.
Can I search for and contact a lawyer without posting a case?
Posting a case is free of charge and is of no obligation to you. Once you post a case, you will receive proposals from the lawyers with the billing rate and experience that you specify. Once we make our attorney directory feature public you will be able to browse our directory of lawyers and contact any lawyer independently as well.

You control when and if you release your identification information to lawyers that are interested in representing you.
